Eyres of Chesterfield 1875-2014
Isaac Eyres started trading from his first shop in 1875 and moved to the present premises on Holywell Street, Chesterfield a few years later. Located 200 yards behind the iconic crooked spire of Chesterfield Parish Church.
From these humble beginnings Eyres grew into one of the largest furniture retailers in the Midlands.
In 1985 the great, great grandson of the founder re-launched Eyres of Chesterfield into one of the finest furniture stores in central England supplying thousands of households by offering great value and good service.
In 2014 we will continue to listen to our customers, new and old to ensure we provide you the furniture you are looking for backed by our unbeatable price promise. If you find the same goods in-store or on line we will beat it.
Whilst others try to copy, Eyres of Chesterfield is a stand alone operation providing the discerning furniture buyers of the Midlands and South Yorkshire with an unrivalled choice of famous brand furniture and exclusive designs.
Customers have been buying with confidence at Eyres for over 130 years and will continue to do so for many years to come.
Why not make a day of it?
Eyres is located in the heart of the Peak district, near to landmark destinations like Chatsworth House and Matlock bath, and our in store restaurant has an enviable reputation.
